I Prophesy
I Prophesy and I'm not in denial
It's not all bleak
No matter what the tabloids infer
The days are hot the nights cold
Is it not what the weather man sold
A storm is here a hurricane gone by
Whose report I readily decline
My day is keen and mild
A little humidity I do not mind
But I would have you think on these things
That no matter what you are fore-seeing
God saw it first and let it so
And no matter where you go or what you sow
God has already been in the know
And it happened because you
And ultimately God let it so
So I choose to prophesy peace
I choose to speak against decline
I choose to be a reason with God
As that which a mind can rightly become
I choose and when I choose
I choose carefully
Because I know there is power
In my choice
And because man has free will
I can choose
But because God has sovereign will
I know I can only but propose
For who can know the mind of man
except his spirit
And who can know the mind of God
Except what the Holy Spirit reveals
Yet I propound peace.
